- "The United States hasn't fought a war on their own soil since the Civil War in the 1860s. Yes, they have been attacked with Pearl Harbor and 9/11 but no full blown war. You don't get to say American's stand up for their values when Syrians flee. Those fleeing are women and children who have seen their homes bombed and families slaughtered. People are taking up arms and fighting back, but it's not as easy as you make it out to be. Your Civil War had refugees fleeing who didn't fight, you don't get to pick on Syrians that flee when you likely would do the same thing."
